Jamala was on top of my bucket list of things to do. It went over and above my expectations. We stayed in the Lion Bungalow and the lion was on show the whole time he slept right next to our window all night. The park and Aquarium itself beautiful and well set up The owner and his staff are so nice and helpful they go over and above and very knowledgeable. We went on a tour of the park and it was fantastic. The room is lovely and with great views. The main building for dinner and breakfast was set up to perfection and staff were amazing food was exceptional. There is so much to see and do. Make it a must see

Great experience, great food and friendly staff, only suggestion would be to push dinner a little later. We booked the giraffe lodge and were able to check in at 3:15 however pre dinner drinks were at 6 and dinner shortly after. So with a group giraffe feeding for 20 minutes between 4 and 4:20 and dinner a few hours later, The time we got back post dinner it was too dark to see the giraffes. Suggestion is make dinner at 8 so you can enjoy the animals all afternoon. Other than that, very memorable experience you have to try

You just have to add this experience to your bucket list. Jamala is the most wonderful place to stay, and the see beautiful animals. The park is beautiful and thoughtfully setup for both animals and people to enjoy. The aquarium is great we spent a lot of time in there. We were lucky enough to meet Richard Tindale one of the owners, he is a lovely man and his staff are all so nice and very helpful. They just want you to have a wonderful time. Thank you so much for your awesome gift to my husband and myself we loved the lemur room. With the heated pool right outside our door.It is so luxurious & the bed was so comfortable. We had great views over the park on one side and of course the lovely sweet lemurs on the other side. We really appreciate your generosity so much. The main building has so many beautiful things that have been collected over the years. There is so much to see and do.

A stay at the Jamala Wildlife Lodge is a truly exceptional, five-star experience defined by outstanding personal service and unforgettable animal encounters. The entire journey, from the welcoming check-in to the informative tours and gourmet dining, is consistently praised by guests. Review of Jamala Wildlife Lodge The experience begins with the most welcoming and personal greeting, setting the tone for the entire stay. Greeting and Check-in (Alice): The seamless and friendly start to the adventure is a highlight for many. Staff like Alice ensure a smooth check-in process, where luggage is whisked away and afternoon tea is served in the unique African-themed lodge, making guests feel like royalty from the moment they arrive. The initial welcome is described as nothing short of perfect, with staff going above and beyond to ensure comfort and happiness. The guided tours are both educational and exciting, allowing for incredibly close interaction with the animals. Guided Tour (Immy): The passion and knowledge of the guides, such as Immy (and others like Cooper, Jake, and Molly mentioned in reviews), shine through during the guided tours. Guests frequently comment on how informative the guides are, creating memorable opportunities like hand-feeding a giraffe or patting a rhino, all while learning about animal conservation efforts. The guides' genuine enthusiasm makes the behind-the-scenes access a truly inspiring part of the stay. The exceptional service continues into the evening with a phenomenal dining experience. Dining and Service (Libby): The culinary experience at the lodge is consistently rated as "sublime" and "top-notch". The multi-course dinner is enjoyed in the uShaka Lodge dining room, sometimes with white lions visible through the glass. The table service, exemplified by staff like Libby (and others like Charly and Aaron in reviews), is described as sensational and superb, ensuring a fantastic atmosphere while enjoying immaculate, plentiful food and drinks. Overall, the combination of luxury accommodation, intimate animal experiences, and dedicated, passionate staff like Alice, Immy, and Libby makes a stay at Jamala Wildlife Lodge a once-in-a-lifetime experience that guests never forget.

I stayed in the giraffe tree house and absolutely loved the whole experience. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a perfect stay. The food was divine, both the high tea and the 3 course dinner. The lodge and our room were beautiful and the bed was so comfortable! We got to meet so many animals up close and the staff shared their knowledge and obvious love for the animals with us. Doing the tour before the zoo opened was amazing, it felt like we lived there. I would highly recommend staying here!
