Full legal equality has been in place since then: same-sex couples have identical rights to opposite-sex couples in marriage, divorce, adoption (including joint adoption and step-child adoption), and inheritance. Surrogacy is legally available. Anti-discrimination law prohibits discrimination on grounds of sexual orientation and gender identity in employment, housing, and the provision of goods and services. Conversion therapy is banned. A non-binary 'X' gender marker has been available on identity documents since 2018, and legal gender change is available without medical requirements.
