Amistad hotel

I enjoyed my experience when I was there. lol it was called a "hostel" when I was there and now it's called a "hotel" - guess that brings more money. Good place to stay, shared rooms with strangers who had come in the night after our arrival, but no big deal. Was able to purchase an icy cold can of Heineken beer straight out of the soda vending machine for 25 cents.

Amazing hotel and amazing staff!! Me and my girlfriend felt so welcomed and the vibe was immaculate. Awesome food too!

A place to be avoided! It shouldn't be considered a hotel. The reception, which is also the "restaurant," smells musty. The room is extremely small and poorly ventilated. In the summer, you can't sleep because of the unbearable heat. You can barely walk around the bed. There's no room to open a suitcase. The stairs have narrow steps, which can easily lead to a fall. The street is noisy. The price charged doesn't match what's offered. For the same price, you can find much more comfortable hotels.

Amistad is a wonderful little queer friendly hotel right in the center of Amsterdam. The staff (hey Mike 👋) is very friendly. The rooms and bathrooms are modern and clean. It really was a joy to stay there. And make sure you try the incredible pancakes and scrambled eggs Mike makes for breakfast 💕

Mike the host was quite friendly and welcoming. He gives all the instructions if you check-in after 5 pm. Room was clean, breakfast was enough for us. The location of the hotel is very good if you have daily tram ticket.
