Maspalomas Pride (Gay Pride Gran Canaria) 2026

Maspalomas Pride, held every May, is one of Europe's biggest. Around 80,000 people come to this Gran Canaria resort for it.

The parade follows the Paseo de Meloneras, a seafront walk in fancy Meloneras, next door to Maspalomas. It passes hotels, restaurants, and the beach before ending. Eighty thousand people in a resort town, not a big city, shows how much of Gran Canaria has become a real destination for the international gay community.

Most visitors come from Northern Europe: gay men and lesbians from Britain, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Scandinavia. They come for the guaranteed May sun, direct flights, and one of Europe's best gay scenes. Maspalomas is the obvious Pride spot for them.

The week-long event includes the main parade, plenty of official and unofficial parties, and pool events at the gay hotels. Performances and community events center around the Yumbo Center. The Yumbo, already Europe's biggest gay entertainment complex, really buzzes during Pride week. It's the social heart of the whole international event.
