Maspalomas Gay Pride 2026
About This Event
Maspalomas Gay Pride turns Gran Canaria's dunes into a global rainbow every spring. It's one of the biggest beach Prides, drawing over 150,000 LGBTQ+ travelers from Europe and beyond. Maspalomas has become the unofficial gay capital of the Canary Islands. The 2026 edition should be another week of sun, sea, and queer celebration.
You'll find a packed schedule: pool parties, beach gatherings, drag competitions. The Yumbo Centre hosts free open-air concerts and DJ sets every night. The Pride parade winds through the resort. There are themed nights, fetish events, women's parties, and small cabaret shows. Everyone finds something. The energy really picks up late into those warm Atlantic nights.
Maspalomas has those golden sand dunes, with specific nude and gay-friendly beach sections. It's sunny all year. The Yumbo Centre is the core of gay nightlife here. When you’re not at Pride, you can check out Gran Canaria's mountains, villages like Tejeda, and some good Canarian food.
Fly into Gran Canaria Airport (LPA). There are plenty of flights from Europe. Then it's a 30-minute taxi or shuttle to Maspalomas or Playa del Inglés. Most gay-friendly hotels and bungalows are walkable from the Yumbo Centre. Spring weather is great. But you need to book your place to stay months ahead; the resort fills up fast.
Maspalomas Gay Pride 2026 mixes paradise beaches with big parties. It’s a freeing place where queer identity is out in the open under the Canarian sun. You'll make memories that stick around long after your tan does.
