Studio occupies a position near Chengdu's Taikoo Li development — the city's most internationally recognised luxury retail and dining complex — and operates as the most accessible LGBTQ+-welcoming bar in the city centre. The crowd is mixed: gay-identified and gay-friendly, Chinese and international, young professionals from Chengdu's growing tech and creative sector. The bar has a good cocktail programme and a comfortable, well-designed interior. Less specifically gay than Funky Town but more comfortable for mixed groups and those newer to the city. The Taikoo Li area is lively and well-lit at night — a safe and easy-to-navigate evening destination.
