Paris Gay Pride — Marche des Fiertés 2026

The Marche des Fiertés is one of Europe's largest and most celebrated Pride events, drawing 500,000 to 700,000 people through the streets of Paris on the last Saturday of June. The 2026 march takes place on June 27, departing from Palais-Royal at 1:30pm and ending with a free outdoor concert (Podium des Fiertés) at Place de la Nation from 5pm. The route covers Paris's most historic streets: Rue de Rivoli past the Louvre and the Tuileries, east along Rue Saint-Antoine through the Marais, past the Place de la Bastille, and along the wide boulevards to Nation. Hundreds of floats, marching bands, community organisations, political groups, and individual participants make the route into a 3-4 hour continuous procession. The organisation Inter-LGBT coordinates the event, and the preceding Pride Week (June 20-27) fills the rest of the calendar with screenings, concerts, club nights, and cultural events across the city. What distinguishes Paris Pride from its equivalents elsewhere is its combination of genuine political engagement and pleasure. The French tradition of street protest is embedded in the parade's DNA — this is not purely a celebration but also an annual assertion of presence and rights. At the same time, the floats from the major clubs and circuit parties draw the international visitors who come specifically for the music. The Matinée Paris La Leche edition and Scream events during Pride Week attract DJs and dancers from across Europe. The Podium des Fiertés concert at Nation on the evening of June 27 is free to attend and has featured major performers in recent years. Le Marais itself is closed to traffic on Pride day, transforming Rue des Archives, Rue Sainte-Croix de la Bretonnerie, and the surrounding streets into a continuous outdoor party. Book accommodation at least six months in advance for Pride week — hotels in the 4th arrondissement sell out completely.

Lyon Pride — Marche des Fiertés 2026

Lyon's annual Pride march, the second-largest in France after Paris, now in its 30th edition. Organised by the Collectif Fiertés en Lutte (CFL), the march departs from Manufacture des Tabacs on Cours Albert Thomas (3rd arrondissement) on Saturday 27 June 2026 and proceeds through the city centre past Place Bellecour. Expected attendance: 20,000–27,000 participants. The CFL has organised the march since 1996; a separate march organised by Centre LGBTI+ Lyon is scheduled for 11 July. Book accommodation months in advance — this weekend coincides with Paris Pride on the same date.
