Frutta e Verdura at Via di Santa Passera 27 in Portuense operates on a different schedule from every other venue in Rome: it opens at 04:30 on Saturday and Sunday mornings, after the rest of the city has gone to bed. The MEN2MEN party (Sunday from 04:30) is exclusively for gay men and has become a Rome institution for those who want the party to continue into daylight hours. TOMMY Night (weekends) opens the door to a mixed but heavily LGBTQ+ crowd. The space includes a bar, a dancefloor with electronic music ranging from house to hard techno, an outdoor terrace and a cruising area. This is the underground Rome — not visible from the tourist map, but well-known to the community.
