Lithuania has faced significant political resistance to LGBTQ+ rights, and the Baltic Pride march through Vilnius has historically required heavy police protection. The event draws international solidarity and is one of the most politically charged pride events in northern Europe. Vilnius itself is a genuinely beautiful and undervisited city.
