The LGBTQ+ shops in Barcelona are mostly concentrated in Gaixample, on and around Carrer del Consell de Cent and Carrer de Casanova. The cluster is small enough to browse on foot in an hour: sex shops, fetish gear, underwear and swimwear brands, and a couple of more general gay lifestyle stores.
Opening hours are typically 11am–9pm Monday to Saturday, with reduced hours on Sunday. Some of the sex shops stay open later. In summer, many shops take a siesta break from around 2–5pm. Check before you make a special trip.
The shops
- EROTIXXX Sex Shop: Sexshop located at the gayxample: cruising area, 14 cabins, glory holes, sling room, dark room, and much more ... Do you dare?
- The Man Cave: The Man Cave is the exclusive place for men whose purpose are disconnect, take care of themselves, relax and revitalize themselves at the same time. In our center, with a fully masculine character, we offer all the services you may need for your care and fine tuning: hair removal, facial and body treatments, manicure and pedicure, teeth whitening and massages, in addition to a wide range of male biocosmetics.
What you will find
The sex shops carry the full range: toys, harnesses, latex, underwear, poppers (legal in Spain and widely available). The fetish shops stock leather and rubber gear from European brands. There are also a couple of shops that lean more lifestyle and fashion, with swimwear and branded gear you might actually wear on the beach at Mar Bella.
If you are looking for something specific and cannot find it in Gaixample, check online before travelling. Several Spanish-based shops have online stores and ship within the EU quickly.
