International Bears Week Sitges in October is the second bears event in the Sitges annual calendar — a gathering that takes place in the warm shoulder season when the summer crowds have departed and the town has recovered its more intimate, community-oriented character. Where the June Bears Week is a full summer event with peak-season energy, the October edition has a different, arguably more relaxed character: the weather remains warm, the beaches are quieter, and the town's bears-friendly bars and venues welcome a community that has the place largely to itself. The event draws bears from across Europe who specifically prefer the shoulder-season version of Sitges — attendees who know the town well enough to appreciate it outside its summer peak and who value the more settled social dynamic of an event that does not have to compete with 100,000 other summer visitors. Pool parties, organised events, and the informal bar circuit along Carrer del Pecat make up the programme.
