Atlanta's gay sauna scene is smaller than New York or LA but functional, with options in and around Midtown that run consistently through the week. The crowd reflects the broader Atlanta scene — diverse in age and largely Black, with a mix of regulars and visitors from across the South who come to Atlanta specifically because it is the region's most developed gay city.
A few practical realities about Atlanta saunas: the South's church culture means there is less public conversation about gay sex venues here than in coastal cities, but the venues themselves operate openly and without harassment. You will not find them advertised prominently, but they are not hard to find once you know they are there.
What to Expect
Standard bathhouse format applies: entry fee covers a locker or cabin, access to steam room and dry sauna, and use of common areas. Atlanta saunas typically charge $15-25 for locker access and $25-40 for a private cabin. Entry prices may be lower on weekdays. Most venues provide a towel. Bring flip-flops.
Weekday afternoons are consistently active. Friday evening through Sunday tends to be the busiest period. Some venues run themed nights — check their social media or call ahead if that matters to your visit.
The Saunas
- Flex Spas Atlanta — The Flex is really a good place to go and see hot guys especially on Friday and Saturday nights I have a membership this my favorite place in Atlanta Ga for Weekend and Midday fun. Plus the staff is super friendly.
Practical Notes
Bring ID. Atlanta venues will card you. Phones are generally not permitted in the facility itself — standard for US saunas. Most venues have a front desk locker for valuables.
Condoms and lube are available at most venues, either free at dispensers or at the front desk. The venues operate within Georgia state regulations and take their operating licenses seriously.
Hours vary by venue. Most are open in the afternoon and stay open until 1am or 2am on weekdays, later on weekends. Some run 24 hours. Check venue pages for current operating hours as these can change.
