📸 Suggest PhotosA LGBT and surfer favorite, Mole Beach is a long, wide beach surrounded by scenic hills, rocky outcrops and beautiful views on the east side of the island. The atmosphere is relaxed, although it can get quite crowded in high season, which means traffic at day's end. There is a selection of beach bars and restaurants, and lounges and umbrellas are available for rent. Look past the rocks to the north for the gay and nude sections, or follow the trail to Praia da Galheta, another picturesque beach.
