La Chapelle Café occupies a prime position on the Quai des Célestins with a terrace looking across the Saône to the Fourvière basilica — one of the most romantic views in Lyon. Unusually for a gay bar, it opens at 9 am, making it one of the few explicitly LGBTQ+-welcoming venues for daytime visits. The evening programme includes "Latin Rainbow" themed nights drawing a younger, mixed crowd. Open daily through to around 3 am.
