Sauna Le Apollo is Nice's main gay sauna, located west of the city centre in the elegant residential district near Rue de la Buffa, a few blocks from the Promenade des Anglais. The facility spans two floors and includes a steam room, hammam, Finnish dry sauna, jacuzzi, private cabins and darkroom. The clientele is a mix of locals and tourists — given Nice's status as a major international destination, the sauna sees more visitors than most provincial French saunas, which gives it an international atmosphere. Weekday afternoons are quieter; evenings and weekend afternoons are the busiest sessions. Men only; entry includes towel and locker.
