The 1,100-room property is large by Dupont Circle standards — it operates as a convention hotel with ballroom facilities that no boutique property can match — and the Connecticut Avenue location puts guests at the northern end of Dupont Circle, walking distance from the gay bars of 17th Street and the P Street corridor. The hotel's own Connecticut Avenue entrance is a ten-minute walk from JR.'s.
