LA Black Pride is held over Memorial Day weekend and is the largest Black LGBTQ+ Pride celebration in the United States. The event draws tens of thousands of Black LGBTQ+ people and allies from across the country for a weekend of pool parties, brunches, nightclub events, and community programming in Los Angeles. LA Black Pride celebrates the specific culture, history, and experience of Black LGBTQ+ people, providing a space within the broader Pride calendar where Black queer identity is not auxiliary but central. The Memorial Day weekend timing makes it a travel event as well as a local celebration, with visitors arriving from across the United States.
