They changed up the gate licking schedule and did not post about it anywhere. Called the office and they claimed that "no one here has keys" had to hop the gate. You guys might want to get some keys cut because that is kinda ridiculous ngl. Otherwise a nice large greenspace that is a lovely walk (when you are not locked inside / forced to turn around and walk another 45mins to get to the other side) They take excellent care of the grounds too. I suggest visiting, but be sure you call and ask which gates they have arbitrarily decided to keep open or not that moment
This is a spectacular and grand cemetery with many large mausoleums, grave stones, etc. It is a vast cemetery with large mature trees sprawled amongst the well maintained grounds. Famous graves include Oscar Mayer, Bobbie Franks (young boy murdered in 1924 by Leopold & Loeb titled the 'Trial of the Century' ), Ignaz Schwinn (bicycle manufacturer), Richard Sears, and Aaron Montgomery Ward.
An absolutely beautiful location. With such a rich past, I absolutely love to walk through this cemetery every time I stop by. I love the wide range of headstones and markers, and how well maintained it all is. There are also benches sprinkled through the area, some which are part of a grave's design and others near the wildlife area.
Came here on a road trip and visited Gloria Swanson father as well as Oscar Ferdinand Mayer who was the founder of the Oscar Mayer Weiner company
I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to the team at RoseHill Cemetery for their exceptional service during the interment of my beloved wife, Mrs. Omotola Subulade (Efuah) Odunsi , Nee Johnson, on July 12th, 2024. From the initial arrangements to the final farewell, everything was handled with professionalism, compassion, and care. The attention to detail and support provided by the staff made a difficult process much easier to navigate. I was impressed by the beauty and tranquility of the cemetery, which provided a fitting tribute to my wife's memory. I highly recommend RoseHill Cemetery to anyone seeking a dignified and peaceful final resting place for their loved ones. Thank you again for your outstanding service.
