Athens Pride is Greece's national LGBTQ+ celebration, held each June in the ancient capital where Western civilization began. The parade through Syntagma Square, with the Parthenon visible on the Acropolis above, creates one of the most symbolically resonant backdrops of any pride event in the world. Athens Pride has grown significantly over the past decade, now drawing tens of thousands to the city's central square and the festival village at the National Gardens.
