Cardiff Pride 2026

Cardiff Pride 2026 — Pride Cymru — is Wales's flagship annual LGBTQ+ celebration and one of the largest Pride events in the UK. The centrepiece is a free parade through Cardiff city center drawing tens of thousands of participants, followed by a ticketed outdoor festival in Bute Park with headline performances and community stages. Expected attendance is 50,000 across the full event. The week-long programme includes club nights throughout the Charles Street village, film screenings, art exhibitions, and family-friendly events. Cardiff Pride celebrates both Welsh LGBTQ+ identity and Wales's progressive legal framework, with same-sex marriage legal since 2014.

Gay Cardiff — Tu Guía Completa

Todo lo que vale la pena saber antes de ir.

Cardiff is the vibrant capital of Wales and home to one of the UK's most celebrated gay villages. Charles Street and its surrounding area form a compact but characterful LGBTQ+ neighborhood that has been at the heart of Welsh queer life for decades. From historic gay pubs to leather bars, dance clubs, and a dedicated sauna, Cardiff's scene punches well above its weight for a city of its size. Cardiff Pride in August draws up to 50,000 people to the city center, making it one of the largest Pride events in the UK outside London and Manchester. Mary's Bar on Charles Street is the oldest gay pub in Cardiff — an institution beloved for its unpretentious atmosphere, regular entertainment, and genuinely warm welcome. Eagle Cardiff on nearby Churchill Way is the city's leather and bears bar, a friendly, well-established venue with a loyal community following. WOW Bar brings a more contemporary energy with themed nights and drag events. Pulse Cardiff is the main gay club, with multiple floors and a late-night dance floor that keeps going until the early hours. Old Market Tavern provides a relaxed pubby alternative. Bar Rum Ba adds a fun, camp cocktail bar dimension to the village. Club X is the city's respected gay sauna, centrally located and well-maintained. Beyond the village, Cardiff is a city that has invested significantly in its cultural offering. The waterfront Bay area, Cardiff Castle, and the Arcades — a series of Victorian shopping arcades through the city center — are all LGBTQ+ friendly and popular with the queer community. The city has an excellent live music scene and a thriving arts scene centered on Chapter Arts Centre and the Sherman Theatre, both of which run LGBTQ+-inclusive programming. Cardiff Pride (Pride Cymru) in August is the year's highlight, featuring a parade through the city center, a ticketed main stage event in Bute Park, and an extensive fringe programme of club nights and cultural events. The parade is free and open to all; the park event has ticketed sections. Cardiff is entirely safe for LGBTQ+ visitors at any time of year.
