SXL is Helsinki's leading gay sauna — a multi-level facility in the Kallio neighbourhood of Helsinki that combines the Finnish sauna tradition with a full contemporary gay sauna and club environment. The facilities cover dry Finnish sauna, steam room, darkrooms across multiple levels, private cabins, a bar, lockers, and the relaxation areas that make a properly developed gay sauna venue more than just a steam room. Kallio — the neighbourhood immediately north of central Helsinki, historically the city's working-class quarter and now one of its most vibrant cultural areas — provides an appropriate setting: SXL operates in the Kallio environment of independent bars, music venues, and the specific social energy of Helsinki's most alternative neighbourhood.
