Loco Klub operates under the Victorian railway arches adjacent to Temple Meads station — Bristol's main rail hub — and runs a programme of alternative club nights, live music and arts events that has a consistently high LGBTQ+ presence. The venue is not exclusively gay but has regular queer-specific programming and is well-known within Bristol's LGBTQ+ community as the most culturally interesting option in the city. The arched underground setting is atmospheric: raw brick, industrial hardware, the sound of trains above. Electronic music of genuine quality, queer artists and promoters, events that are distinctly different from the mainstream. The Temple Meads location makes it Bristol's most accessible nightlife venue from outside the city.
