Mar Ipanema Hotel

Made a reservation 2 months ago for December, the reservation is fully paid and NON REFUNDABLE, this hotel just canceled my reservation claiming they fully booked for December 2026. Completely dishonest and terrible management, they cheating with people and playing with their life

Great breakfast, located a couple of blocks from the beach, good service, clean rooms.

I searched online for the most rocket miles for my American Airlines. Advantage account on Impanema beach, 15000 loyalty points. I’m trying to get a Plaitinum Pro or higher status on American, but I didn’t want to stay in a bad hotel. This hotel exceeded my expectations. I read the positive reviews. It’s close to the beach - two blocks, the rooms very modern, and clean hotel. The staff had smiles and welcomed Me... The included morning breakfast is very good and plentiful. There’s also a rooftop viewing point air conditioned, and also outdoor outdoors that you can see two brothers mountains and the sunset and the ocean. There’s no pool but we have the ocean two blocks away. You really don’t need a pool..

Great stay here, location is perfect for the beach and the shops/cafes etc. of Ipanema. Rooms aren’t the largest, but do the job if you’re not expecting some kind of suite. Breakfast has a few cooked options and the usual fruit, cheese and meats. It didn’t vary much day to day. Staff were really helpful at all times. Chairs and umbrellas for the beach are provided for free if requested.

Excellent place in Rio. Close to the beach, they hotel also offers towels, chairs and parasols to take to the beach. Rooms are nice and comfortable. Breakfast is ok with limited options but saves trying to find a place in the morning. The area felt safe, there are some restaurants around and Copacabana is a cheap ubber ride away. There is also a convenience shop with food options. Mini fridge in the room with water bottle water available. The staff are amazing, very helpful and kind. We had a great stay and would recommend this hotel.
