Best Western Atlantis Hotel

This hotel definitely does not meet 4-star standards. The room was reasonably clean with daily housekeeping, and the smart TV worked well. Basic amenities were provided, but overall the experience still felt very average. The water pressure was poor, the mattress was uncomfortable, and the fridge was empty with no complimentary water. For a hotel rated four stars, these details matter. If you’re expecting a mid-to-high quality hotel with attentive service, this is not the place. I stayed here for six nights during my holiday and found the experience consistently underwhelming. The checkout experience was particularly disappointing. When I checked in, I was informed that late checkout would be 12:30 pm. However, on the day of departure, the front desk called and insisted the latest checkout was 12:00 pm, rushing us to leave. They even sent a staff member to stand at our door while we were packing, which was uncomfortable and unprofessional. Overall, this hotel does not deserve a 4-star rating. At best, it is a 3-star hotel in both facilities and service.

Room was decent and well kept, location is very central and staff are helpful. But not what i expected for a 150aud/night hotel. There was inconvenience a lot of times. We had to go back down to the reception TWICE (on our 2nd night and 4th night) to have our card activated because apparently the one who checked us in did not set our card for 4nights… and the one who reactivated it did not set it for 4 nights AGAIN) Besides that, wifi was completely unreliable and we had to use mobile data most of the time. If you’re coming here with some work you need to use wifi for, find a better hotel with better connection The aircon was also very noisy to turn on during sleeping time so we had to sleep with a warm room temp.

Staff were fantastic and welcoming from check in to check nothing was too much trouble. Our room was Upgraded due to a hiccup with housekeeping. And late check out was applied to 11am. ( handy as everyone likes a sleep in after a late night) Pool is of decent size ( didn't use it though) ( extra towels provided for pool at no extra cost ) Coles is across the road > DFo close by also Marvel was a 10m walk Southern Cross station around 6m walk Great location if you're attending any concerts at marvel , everything was within walking distance for us ( if not trams run out the front ) Cannot fault our stay. Spent 7 nights at the Atlantis Hotel and loved the central location to all things Melbourne...rooms were basic but clean, comfortable fully equipped. The staff from Reception to Housekeeping were absolutely amazing...helpful, respectful and very professional. The Atlantis also puts on a breakfast every morning, which we took advantage of...basic but good. They offer parking for guests which was fantastic as we drove in. For the price paid during Australian Open, this hotel was fantastic. The rooms aren’t particularly modern, but were clean and comfortable enough. Location made easy to get around, albeit what felt like not the nicest end of the city. Check-in staff were a delight. Overall 5 stars for the price paid.
