Informazioni su questo posto Prinzknecht

Prinzknecht occupies a large corner space on Fuggerstraße in Schöneberg and has established itself as the definitive bear and masculine-presenting gay bar in Berlin. The aesthetic is American bar meets German Stammtisch — leather vests, plaid flannel, denim, and the easy camaraderie of men who have found their tribe. The bar runs regular themed events including leather nights, uniform nights, and bear parties that draw crowds from across the city and from visiting tourists who specifically seek out this kind of venue. The size of the space — significantly larger than most Schöneberg bars — means it manages the paradox of being both the social hub for a specific sub-community and accessible enough that newcomers do not feel like intruders. Regular events include a monthly Brummbaer (Berlin's longest-running bear party), weekly Happy Hours, and Pride week events that make Prinzknecht one of the centres of gravity for Schöneberg CSD week activities. The Fuggerstraße is the secondary gay street in Schöneberg — less famous than Motzstraße but with a concentration of bars that makes an evening's bar crawl entirely possible on foot.

We were here almost a year ago, and this time being in the area decided to stop for a couple of drinks. Very cozy atmosphere, reasonable prices. Ricardo, the bartender was very kind and attentive. His smile and welcoming spirit made our evening. Not our last time visiting for sure! Went over few past comments to be honest, quite surprised... My husband is black and he did not feel any racist or any other inappropriate attitude. He was the only POC there, that's true. Lol but I guess it's just a coincidence. And with regards to rudeness... I guess we were just lucky and we were treated very nicely.

Many of my friends visited this bar before, so finally, I decided to check it out myself. This is one of the most well-known gay bars in the town. I like how it looks. It gives a good vibe to talk. However, the service is questional. As a Berliner, I probably got used to the centrain type of impoliteness, but I think it is hard for visitors. When I was there, one bartender was quite kind, but the other one was rude. I hope it will be improved. Whatever happens, just try to enjoy the rest time with your friends or dates. Personally speaking, I found the bar is just alright. The bar is cash only.

Really disappointed. We are customers at this bar for only 10 years… and yet on 1.1.2026 - first day of the year, we didn’t get to go inside because the security told us so. What was that for an attitude? We were not drunk, totally normal people wanting to celebrate. I simply don’t know what to say. 🤷‍♂️

Not a safe place if you’re a person of color (in my case Middle Eastern) and don’t have a rainbow tattooed on your face. Surprising for probably Berlin’s most famous gay bar. I got barely any service while white people were served instantly. But what to expect when even the chancellor talks thrash about immigrants ruining das Stadtbild.

I hadn't written here until I saw the one-star reviews posted in the bathroom doors. I guess it's supposed to be funny, but just feels petty. Why poke fun at bad service when you could improve it? That inspired me to finally post. The main area has a charm, but something has changed and I've made other bars my go-to now. One thing that's changed is the dark room. I don't think anyone with cruising experience had a say in the new layout and that's really a shame. Hidden corners to be discovered would be better than just open rooms and doors that shut out when closed or leave you fully exposed when open.
