Sottobosco (literally "undergrowth" — the forested floor below the canopy) is Padua's primary LGBTQ+-welcoming bar, located near the university district. The bar has a strong community character, hosting drag nights, queer film screenings and events in coordination with Arcigay Padova. The crowd is predominantly student-age and young professional, reflecting the bar's university district position. Good aperitivo. Open from late afternoon through the night on weekends.
