Turin, Italy
Torino Pride is Piedmont's largest LGBTQ+ event, drawing 50,000+ to the city centre in June. The march typically departs from Piazza Vittorio Veneto — one of Europe's largest neo-classical squares, facing the Gran Madre church across the Po — and proceeds through the colonnaded streets of the centro storico to a closing rally at Piazza Castello, the city's royal square flanked by the Palazzo Reale and the Palazzo Madama. The event is organised by Arcigay Torino and has grown consistently over two decades. Pride Week includes a programme of events at the Centralino bar, Kontiki club and the city's cultural venues. Turin's Baroque architecture provides one of Italy's finest Pride backdrops.
Guia de Viagem
Tudo o que vale a pena saber antes de ir.
Turin is northern Italy's understated gay city. The former Fiat company town, reborn as a cultural and culinary capital after the 2006 Winter Olympics, has a gay scene concentrated in the Quadrilatero Romano and San Salvario neighbourhoods — two quite different areas connected by the same tolerant, Piedmontese pragmatism that characterises the city at large. Turin Pride, held every June, has grown to 50,000+ attendees. The city's architecture (the long, colonnaded arcades of Via Roma and Via Po, the Baroque Piazza San Carlo) provides one of Italy's finest urban backdrops for an evening out.
