One of NYC’s best film institutions. Unexpected, rare, small budget, avant garde… see them here!
For the cinephile with a taste for the unconventional, Anthology Film Archives is a luminous beacon—a sanctuary where the art of film is celebrated in its most radical and transformative form. National treasure and a timeless repository where every frame releases stories of innovation and rebellion. The space exudes an air of reverence, its halls lined with a carefully curated collection of avant-garde treasures that challenge and inspire. Here, film is not merely projected but experienced as a living dialogue between past daring and future possibility, a visual dance that defies convention. xx, Michèle
Such a great space. Great curation, too.
Not the best venue and the staff (who outnumbered the viewers) weren’t friendly. What got to me was when two of them came into the theatre during the movie and were talking in the back.
For a completely hassle-free date night with my sister, the experience is absolutely appreciated. It was a brilliant and full movie theater experience! Super cool interior here! I feel very comfortable with the enormous chairs and the good taste of their food. We would never hesitate to suggest this place to my colleagues for sure. Further! Bigger! Superior! Superior!
