Mid Atlantic Leather Weekend 2026

Mid Atlantic Leather Weekend (MAL) is North America's largest leather and fetish event, drawing the global leather community to Washington DC each January. Four days of leather runs, competitions, educational sessions, and the legendary MAL dance parties fill the host hotel.

The centerpiece is the International Mr. Leather-style competitions, alongside the Mr. MAL, Mr. DC Eagle, and other titles. The host hotel lobby alone is a spectacle: thousands of leathermen, boots, harnesses and uniforms from every continent mixing freely.

MAL has been running since 1983 and remains THE gathering for East Coast leather culture. It's simultaneously a fetish convention, a community reunion, and a political gathering — leather organizations from across the region convene for meetings alongside the parties.
