Heraklion Pride brings LGBTQ+ visibility to Crete's capital and largest city, an event that has been growing as the island's queer community becomes more confident and visible. Crete's strong sense of local identity gives the event a distinct character, and the surrounding Minoan history, magnificent beaches, and exceptional local food make a pride visit here particularly enjoyable. The Cretan spirit of independence and hospitality extends warmly to queer visitors.
