La Troya is the weekly gay night at Amnesia superclub — the defining event of the Ibiza gay summer season, running from May through September each year. The event was created in the early 1990s by drag artist and producer La Troya Asesina and has maintained its position as one of the most celebrated gay party nights in the global circuit calendar for three decades. Each Friday night at Amnesia, La Troya transforms the superclub into a theatrical, sexually charged, and relentlessly spectacular gay party: drag performers, go-go dancers, elaborate staging, and the production values that the Amnesia setting can support. The season runs for approximately 20 consecutive weekly editions from late May through mid-September; the peak editions in July and August sell out weeks in advance. La Troya is the event that defines the Ibiza gay summer for circuit-party regulars and the event that introduces the circuit-party world to gay visitors who are new to Ibiza. No other weekly gay night in Europe operates at this scale, with this consistency, or with this level of international recognition.
