Sottovento (meaning "leeward" — the sheltered side) operates from the Libertà neighbourhood, one of Bari's most characterful residential areas south of the station. The bar is a cocktail and cultural space that has built a reputation as the most LGBTQ+-welcoming venue in the city over several years of consistent community engagement. Monthly LGBTQ+ events are held in coordination with Arcigay Bari. The crowd is mixed across all categories — gay men, queer women, straight allies, students — and the atmosphere is inclusive in the genuine rather than performed sense. The bar also serves as a gathering point for Bari's growing LGBTQ+ community, hosting meetups, film screenings and discussions. Aperitivo from 18:00. Open Tuesday through Sunday.
