The Amsterdam Hotel has been serving Brighton's gay visitors from its Marine Parade seafront position for many years and has built a reputation based on consistent friendliness rather than luxury. The hotel is smaller and less event-focused than the adjacent Legends; its appeal is the genuinely welcoming atmosphere, the bar and lounge on the ground floor, and the in-house sauna facilities. The regular clientele is a mix of visitors returning annually, Brighton Pride week guests, and people who found the Amsterdam on a first Brighton trip and have been coming back since. The seafront location gives all front rooms sea views. Good value for Brighton seafront; significantly cheaper than London equivalents in the same category.
