The clientele tends to be more locally focused than Sauna Thor — Norwegian gay men who live in or near the Grønland area, alongside a smaller contingent of visitors. Sauna Adam's Grønland location gives it a different character from the Sentrum-area venues: the neighbourhood's ethnic diversity and relative affordability (by Oslo standards) create an atmosphere that is less tourist-oriented and more rooted in Oslo's own gay community.
