Berlin's oldest restaurant For a truly German experience recapturing the old days, you might consider Zur Letzten Instanz in a restored medieval building not far from Alexanderplatz. Traditional dishes abound, including Eisben (pork knuckle), Wurst (sausage) and sauerkraut options and, for dessert, rote Gruetze. Reservations are a must. Not hot dishes Tuesday to Saturday 3pm—6pm
