The Deutsche Eiche sauna complex occupies the lower levels of the 1864 building on Reichenbachstraße and operates as a separate entity from the hotel and restaurant above while sharing the same institutional identity. The facilities include a Finnish dry sauna, steam room, heated pool, darkrooms, and a rest and social area. The sauna is regularly cited as one of Germany's best gay saunas not for the scale of its facilities — there are larger saunas in Germany — but for the combination of historic building, neighbourhood location, and social character. The clientele is a mix of hotel guests and local regulars, with the sauna embedded in the same community fabric as the bar upstairs. Entry is available to non-hotel guests. The Reichenbachstraße location is in the heart of the Glockenbachviertel, walkable from most of the neighbourhood's other venues.
