Buenos Aires has an active cruising scene that spans indoor venues and outdoor areas. The indoor options are well-established and busy; the outdoor options are more situational. The general culture of the city — late nights, open attitudes — creates a context where the cruising scene feels less separated from the wider social life than it might in more conservative cities.
Bosques de Palermo
Bosques de Palermo is the large park that runs along the northeast edge of the Palermo neighborhood. The park is enormous — it contains a rose garden, lakes, sports facilities, and the Buenos Aires Zoo. Within the park, particularly in the wooded sections toward the Planetarium and beyond, there is a long-established cruising area. Activity is more likely after dark and on weekends. The park is a normal public space used by families and joggers during the day; the cruising dynamic is concentrated in specific sections at specific times.
Standard outdoor precautions apply. Be aware of your surroundings, trust your instincts, and avoid having valuables visible.
Indoor venues
The sauna circuit handles most of the formal indoor cruising scene. The better venues are explicitly set up for this and are much more comfortable and predictable than outdoor alternatives. Given how cheap the saunas are in Buenos Aires, the indoor option is genuinely accessible.
Some bars at the very late end of the night function as meeting points in a way that overlaps with cruising, though this is more about the general late-night social atmosphere than any specific cruising format.

Practical notes
Indoor venues have their own rules about phones and behaviour — follow venue guidelines. Most operate honestly and are well-managed.
The Buenos Aires general culture of late nights and open socializing means that the line between regular nightlife and more explicitly cruising-oriented activity is less sharp than in many cities. The Palermo bar scene at 3am on a Saturday is its own kind of social scene.
