Come Out With Pride Orlando is one of the largest LGBTQ+ Pride celebrations in the American Southeast, held annually in October at Lake Eola Park in downtown Orlando. The event draws more than 100,000 people each year and has been a fixture of the Orlando LGBTQ+ calendar since 2004. The October timing — a deliberate choice that distinguishes Orlando Pride from the June-concentrated national calendar — takes advantage of Florida's best weather and positions the event as a major fall gathering for LGBTQ+ visitors from across the region and the country. Lake Eola Park, with its iconic fountain and amphitheatre, provides one of the most beautiful settings of any American Pride event. The festival includes multiple stages of live entertainment, a significant vendor and community organisation presence, and the celebratory atmosphere of a city that has been shaped — and in some ways defined — by its LGBTQ+ community's history, including the events of June 12, 2016. The Parliament House Resort, the Orange Avenue bar corridor, and Club Orlando all host associated events throughout the Pride weekend. For visitors planning an Orlando trip, October Pride is the optimal timing: the weather is excellent, the crowds are large but not overwhelming, and the full range of the city's LGBTQ+ venues and culture is accessible.
