Pretoria LGBTI Pride marches through South Africa's administrative capital — a city known for its jacaranda-lined streets and government buildings that house the institutions which gave LGBTQ+ South Africans their extraordinary constitutional protections. The event serves the queer community of Tshwane (greater Pretoria) and draws participants from across Gauteng province for what is consistently one of the more politically engaged of South Africa's pride events.
