Brisbane Pride is Queensland's signature LGBTQ+ celebration, drawing tens of thousands to the Fortitude Valley and New Farm neighbourhoods each September for a festival that has been running since 1990. The Brisbane Pride Fair Day in New Farm Park is the centrepiece — a massive outdoor community event with stages, food vendors, and the dogs — and the surrounding festival week fills the city's queer venues with film, performance, and parties. Brisbane's increasingly vibrant cultural scene and its subtropical climate make this one of Australia's most enjoyable pride destinations.
