Perth PrideFEST is Western Australia's premier LGBTQ+ celebration — a multi-week festival held each November that brings together arts, culture, sport, community events, and nightlife across Perth and the surrounding region. Organised by Pride WA, PrideFEST has grown steadily into one of Australia's significant pride events, drawing participants from across Western Australia and visitors from the east coast and internationally who combine the festival with Perth's extraordinary natural attractions.
The festival culminates in the Pride Parade through Perth's inner-city streets, drawing approximately 30,000 participants and spectators. The parade route passes through the CBD and into the Northbridge entertainment precinct, giving it a natural conclusion at the city's gay heart. Kings Park — the vast native bush reserve on the escarpment overlooking the city, the Swan River, and the Indian Ocean beyond — provides the setting for the festival's major outdoor events, with a backdrop of rare and dramatic beauty.
PrideFEST 2026 continues the festival's tradition of programming that extends beyond nightlife into the full spectrum of LGBTQ+ cultural expression: film, theatre, visual arts, sport, and community celebration. The festival reflects the particular character of Perth's LGBTQ+ community — a community that has built its own culture with confidence and creativity in the world's most isolated major city, and that takes genuine pride in what it has created.
