Lille, France
Lille's annual LGBTQ+ Pride march through the historic streets of Vieux-Lille and the city centre, typically departing from Place de la République in early June. One of the largest Pride events in northern France, drawing 30,000–40,000 participants from across the Hauts-de-France region and neighbouring Belgium. The march ends with a free outdoor festival, and the gay bars around Rue des Bouchers host after-parties through the night.
Travel Guide
Everything worth knowing before you go.
Lille is the cultural and gay capital of northern France — a proud Flemish city of ornate baroque architecture, world-class beer culture, and one of the warmest queer communities north of Paris. The LGBTQ+ scene clusters in the cobbled streets of Vieux-Lille and around the Rue de la Monnaie and République area. Just 35 minutes by Eurostar from Brussels and one hour from Paris, Lille is an underrated destination that punches well above its weight.
