The Parc de la Tête d'Or is Lyon's largest urban park, and its wooded sections between the lake and the park boundary have been a cruising area for decades. Activity concentrates near the park toilets and in the bushes, primarily in the evenings before closing (21:00 in winter, 23:00 in summer). After the park closes, the scene shifts to the unlit Rhône bank directly across the road, particularly around the foot of Pont Winston Churchill between Pont Winston Churchill and Pont de Lattre de Tassigny.
