Nantes Pride — Marche des Fiertés 2026

Nantes' annual LGBTQ+ Pride march through the historic heart of the city, typically held on the last Saturday of June. One of the largest Pride events in western France, drawing 25,000–30,000 participants from across the Pays de la Loire, Brittany and Vendée regions. The march departs from central Nantes and concludes with a free outdoor festival on the Île de Nantes, the city's creative and cultural hub on the Loire. The nearby Machines de l'Île — one of France's most extraordinary cultural installations — provides an extraordinary backdrop for the festival stage.

Le Voyage à Nantes — Summer Art Trail 2026

Le Voyage à Nantes is France's most ambitious urban art trail — a summer-long programme transforming the entire city into an open-air museum, running from early July to the end of August. A green line painted on the pavements guides visitors through 40+ permanent and temporary installations, connecting the Machines de l'Île with street murals, sculpture gardens, and site-specific commissions in unexpected urban spaces. Not a specifically LGBTQ+ event, but the creative, inclusive atmosphere and the international visitor influx make this one of the best periods of the year to visit Nantes. Many LGBTQ+ artists are represented. The Île de Nantes installations frequently address themes of identity and transformation.

Gay Nantes — Your Complete Guide

Everything worth knowing before you go.

Nantes is one of France's most creative and liveable cities — the birthplace of Jules Verne, home to the extraordinary Machines de l'Île (including a 12-metre mechanical elephant that walks through the streets), and the host of the Le Voyage à Nantes summer art trail. The gay scene centres on the Bouffay quarter in the historic heart and the newly developed Île de Nantes. With Nantes Atlantique Airport 12km away and fast TGV links to Paris (2h10), it is one of the most rewarding and under-visited LGBTQ+ destinations in western France.
