The Bois de Vincennes on the eastern edge of Paris provides a quieter alternative to the Bois de Boulogne for outdoor cruising, with activity concentrated around the more remote wooded sections near the Allée Royale and the areas behind and around Lac Daumesnil. Accessible via RER A (Vincennes) or Metro Line 1 (Château de Vincennes), the bois is less crowded than its western counterpart and less well-documented in English-language gay travel resources. Rosa Bonheur has a third location here — Rosa Bonheur à l'Est at the Chalet de la Porte Jaune — which provides a gay-friendly outdoor bar option alongside the cruising geography.
