About this place Potemkin

Stroganoff in Schöneberg A popular all-day restaurant opened in 2006 by a Russian who named his venue after the mutiny among ill-fed sailors in 1905 Tsarist Russia, made famous by director Sergei Eisenstein (1898–1948) in his dramatically cut film Battleship Potemkin (1925), which consistently throughout much of the last century was cited among cinema's ten best films. The food here is surely an improvement on the rotten meat given to the sailors — dumplings, blinies, stroganoffs, pork medallion
