Nuremberg's Christopher Street Day is one of Bavaria's most important pride events outside Munich, held in a city with a weighty historical conscience — Nuremberg was both the centre of Nazi legal persecution of gay men and the site of the post-war trials. The parade through the medieval old town draws tens of thousands and carries that historical awareness alongside genuine celebration.
