Belgrade Pride is Serbia's annual LGBTQ+ march and the focal event of the Balkan LGBTQ+ calendar, held every September in the Serbian capital. After years of bans and violent opposition, the event has proceeded peacefully since 2014 with strong police protection and a steadily growing attendance of around 10,000 participants. Belgrade Pride has become a symbol of persistence for LGBTQ+ communities across the Western Balkans, drawing solidarity delegations from neighbouring countries alongside domestic marchers and international visitors. Pride week includes film screenings, workshops, panel discussions and community dinners.
