Ljubljana's Gay and Lesbian Film Festival is one of Central Europe's most respected LGBTQ+ film events, screening international queer cinema in the Slovenian capital each autumn. The festival has a strong reputation for programming challenging, politically engaged work and has been a significant part of Ljubljana's cultural life for many years. Slovenia's relatively progressive legal climate and Ljubljana's excellent art house cinema infrastructure make it an ideal festival host.
