Barcelona Gay Pride fills the streets of the Catalan capital each July for a long weekend of parades, parties, and celebration centered on the Eixample district — specifically the "Gayxample" area around Carrer del Consell de Cent. The Saturday parade draws hundreds of thousands through the city's famous grid-pattern streets, past Gaudí's unfinished Sagrada Família and the modernist apartment buildings of the Eixample.
Barcelona's pride has a notably festive and international character, drawing LGBTQ+ visitors from across Europe, Latin America, and beyond who combine the event with a trip to one of the world's most architecturally stunning cities. The Mediterranean summer heat, the beach just minutes from the gay bars, and Barcelona's legendary nightlife make the pride weekend an extraordinary experience.
